Hopeful Hearts Collection

Privacy Policy

What we hold, what we never see, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Last updated 25 October 2026

Who we are

Hopeful Hearts Collection (“Hopeful Hearts”, “we”, “us”) is a small parent-support business based in General Santos City, Philippines, founded and run by Dee Tagapan. We make My Child's Journey Planner and the guides, kits and coaching that go with it.

For anything in this policy, write to support@hopefulheartscollection.info or message 0962 393 7794. Dee reads these herself.

What stays on your device

The planner is built to keep your child's information with you. Everything you type into it is stored by your own browser, on the device you used, and is never sent to us:

Because it lives in your browser, two things follow. If you clear your browser data or use a different browser, it will look like your work has vanished — it is tied to the browser you first used. And if you lose the device without taking a backup, we cannot recover it for you, because we never had a copy. Use Export Backup in the menu now and then.

What we hold on our side

Only this, and only for the reasons given:

WhenWhat we holdWhy
You join the free listYour name, email address, your child's age, and what you told us you were worried aboutTo send you the free guide and your access code, and so Dee knows what parents are struggling with
You buy a kit or a membershipYour name, email, order reference, amount paid, plan, access code, and your membership datesTo switch your access on, keep it on, and sort out a problem if one comes up
You use Ate HopeA count of how many messages you have sent this monthTo apply the 300-a-month fair-use limit. We do not keep the messages themselves

We do not ask for, and have no use for, your address, your date of birth, your government IDs, or your child's medical records.

The QR Emergency Card

The QR code you print carries your child's emergency information inside the code itself. Nothing is stored on our servers, and no sign-in is needed — which is the whole point, because a teacher or a first responder needs it to work instantly, offline, with no app.

The trade-off is simple and worth understanding: anyone who scans that code, or who has the link, can read what is on it. It is exactly as private as the printed emergency card it replaces — no more, no less. Keep it in a bag, on a fridge, with a teacher you trust. Do not post it publicly or put it anywhere a stranger would find it. If you ever need to retire one, make a new code in the planner and the old printout stops matching.

Who else helps us run this

Like every small business, we rely on a handful of established service providers to keep things working. Each one sees only the part it needs to do its job, and none of them is permitted to use your information for anything else:

Some of these operate outside the Philippines, which means your name, email and account details may be processed abroad under contracts that require them to protect it. If you would like to know exactly which companies these are, write to us and we will tell you — support@hopefulheartscollection.info.

We never see your card details. Our payment providers handle those directly; all we receive back is the fact that you paid, the amount, and an order reference.

What we do not do

Your child's information

Children cannot agree to this themselves, so you agree on their behalf as their parent or guardian. We deliberately ask for very little about your child — a first name and an age — and you are welcome to use a nickname or initials instead. The detailed information about your child stays on your device, where it belongs.

How long we keep it

Your rights under Philippine law

The Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) gives you real, enforceable rights over your information. You can ask us to:

Email support@hopefulheartscollection.info and we will answer within 30 days. There is no charge and you do not need to give a reason.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you may complain to the National Privacy Commission — privacy.gov.ph. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right, but that is your right and we will not stand in the way of it.

Keeping it safe

Everything travels over an encrypted connection. Our database restricts what can be read with the public key the planner carries, and the keys that can read or change records live only on our servers, never in your browser. Access to the account roster is limited to Dee.

We will not pretend to be more than we are: no system anywhere is perfectly secure. That is one more reason the planner keeps your child's information on your device rather than ours. If something ever did go wrong with the information we hold, we would tell you and the National Privacy Commission, as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page and email members. Carrying on using the planner after that means you accept the updated policy.
